Dave Smalley and Jonathan Anastas are Boston Hardcore legends just like Slapshot. Together with Negative FX, F.U., Gang Green and SSD they formed the authentic 'Boston Crew'. Dave Smalley is known from Dag Nasty, Down By Law (Groezrock 2000 and 2002) and The Sharpshooters. Anastas started the band Slapshot together with Choke. DYS only survived until the mid 80's and in 2010 they decided to get together again. They recorded new material at Bridge9 Records, currently one of the world's best record companies. Smalley will be at Groezrock for the third time with two different bands. Cool isn't it?!

Dave Smalley en Jonathan Anastas zijn net als Slapshot Boston Hardcore legendes. DYS maakte samen met onder meer Negative FX, F.U., Gang Green en SSD deel uit de authentieke ‘Boston Crew’. Dave Smalley kennen we vooral van Dag Nasty, Down By Law (Groezrock 2000 en 2002) en The Sharpshooters. Anastas begon met Choke de band Slapshot. DYS overleefde maar tot half de jaren tachtig, en ze besloten in 2010 om terug in actie te schieten. Ze namen nieuw materiaal op, op het ondertussen tot een van de beste platenlabels ter wereld uitgegroeide Bridge9-records. Nu komt Smalley voor de derde keer met twee verschillende groepen op Groezrock spelen. Hoe cool is dat?!
