Good Riddance

At the top of their career Good Riddance raged 2 years in a row at Groezrock. In 1998 and 1999 they rumbled the tent to promote their cds 'For God And Country', 'A Comprehensive Guide To Modern Rebellion' and 'Ballads From The Revolution'. Later the band disappeared in the background. The other bands from each band member became more important and more interesting than Good Riddance and so they split up in 2007. Now, 5 years later, Rankin, Pabich, Sean Sellers and Chuck tell us they were nostalgic for the songs, the passion and the prime feeling they felt with Good Riddance. Rocking, moshing, shouting and pounding to bear the imperfection in your life, we can only support that. Loads of people can easily sing a whole song just from hearing a few words from 'How ready are you' or 'We don't need pessimism, pessimism,...'. Good Riddance, welcome to the familiar Groezrock stage. Release the beast!

Good Riddance kwam op het hoogtepunt van zijn carrière twee jaar na elkaar geweldig vlammen op Groezrock. In 1998 en 1999 deden ze de tentflappen behoorlijk wapperen om hun cd’s ‘For God And Country’, ‘A Comprehensive Guide To Modern Rebellion’ en ‘Ballads From The Revolution’ te promoten. Daarna verdween de groep wat naar de achtergrond. De verschillende groepen van elk bandlid werden belangrijker en interessanter dan Good Riddance zelf, tot men er in 2007 zelfs helemaal mee stopte. Nu, vijf jaar, later vertellen Rankin, Pabich, Sean Sellers en ‘den Chuck’ ons dat ze heimwee hadden naar de songs, de passie en het oergevoel dat ze wel bij Good Riddance voelden. Rocken, moshen, brullen en beuken om het gemis in je leven wat op te vangen dus. Wij kunnen er alleen maar blij mee zijn. Hoeveel mensen beginnen er niet spontaan een heel lied af te rammelen na het horen van ‘How ready are you’ of ‘We don’t need pessimism, pessimism, …’. Je snapt het punt! Good Riddance, welkom op het oude vertrouwde Groezrockpodium. Laat jullie maar eens goed gaan!
