Hostage Calm

Following the cancellation of I Am The Avalanche we asked Hostage Calm from Connecticut to put on their amps, to press their effect pedals and make a lot of noise on another than the acoustic stage, where they remain scheduled. Hostage Calm plays emotional pop music with a hint of punkrock that sways between Britpop, emorock, punkrock and pop. Their latest album 'Hostage Calm' was realeased in 2010 on Run For Covers Records and is an unseen showcase of tunes, change of rhythms and melodies. Hostage Calm is a very talented and energetic band that shows guts and knows how to mix this with musical insight. Their non acoustic show at Groezrock sure will rock, guaranteed!

Door het wegvallen van I Am The Avalanche kunnen we Hostage Calm uit Connecticut ook vragen hun versterkers aan te zetten, hun effectenpedalen in te drukken en eens wat stof te doen opwaaien op een ander podium dan het Akoestische. Voor alle duidelijkheid, deze superafwisselende rockers spelen ook daar nog steeds hun set. Zoals al aangegeven maakt Hostage Calm emotionele, met punkrock getinte popmuziek die schommelt van Britpop naar emorock naar punkrock naar pop. Hun laatste album ‘Hostage Calm’ kwam in 2010 op Run For Cover Records uit en is een ongeziene showcase van riedeltjes, ritmeveranderingen en melodieën. Hostage Calm is een erg getalenteerde en energieke band die lef toont en dit weet te koppelen aan muzikaal inzicht. Dat ook hun niet-akoestische show op Groezrock meer dan de moeite waard zal zijn staat nu al vast!
