Yellowcard

We like a bit of experimenting with solo instruments but when we first heard Yellowcard's "Ocean Avenue" we went crazy. They added a violin to their poppy emo (punk) rock. Although these guys from Jacksonville already started in 1997, and are working on their 8th album and have been touring a lot, this will be their very first Groezrock. We're proud to present them on our main stage. Give it up for Yellowcard!

Stemgeluid: een geweldige rockstem

Waarom checken: onze Amerikaanse vrienden spelen ook in full force op het hoofdpodium. Maar hier op het acoustic stage geven ze een staaltje van hun muzikale talent. Met enkel een akoestische gitaar (of twee), een viool, een stem en een playlist vol geweldige songs bewijzen ze dat ze geen versterkers nodig hebben om je weg te blazen.

Dat er al eens wat geëxperimenteerd wordt met solo-instrumenten kunnen we best verdragen, maar toen we voor het eerst Yellowcard te horen kregen op ‘Ocean Avenue’ wisten we niet goed waar we het hadden. Hun lekkere poppy emo (punk) rock wordt namelijk gespekt met een viool. Hoewel deze jongens van Jacksonville al sinds 1997 bezig zijn, al aan hun achtste plaat werken en heel erg veel tourden, is dit hun allereerste Groezrock. We zijn trots om ze op ons hoofdpodium te mogen presenteren. Give it up voor Yellowcard!

Why check : our American friends will also play on the main stage in full force. Here, on the acoustic stage, they'll be presenting their fine musical talent. Only with one or two guitars, a violin, a voice and a playlist filled with awesome songs, they'll prove that they don't need amplifiers to blow your socks off.
