Pennywise, Cock Sparrer, Anti-Flag, Underoath and many more...

23 November 2016

My, oh my … It’s about time we announce some new bands, isn’t it? Now, you already know Deftones and Parkway Drive will be our headliners. But that doesn’t mean we don’t have any more big … BIG names playing GROEZROCK 2017.

Let’s turn some of you punk rockers into real happy campers by kicking this press release off with Pennywise. The SoCal legends are playing their masterpiece "About Time" in full, with an additional bunch of classics to spice up the set.

Even more legendary is the first appearance of Cock Sparrer at GROEZROCK. Why? Blimey! These Londoners pretty much started the street punk and Oi! movements.

You can probably catch the dudes from Anti-Flag in the crowd during their set. The blue-collared political punks will close the B2B stage on Saturday with a stagedive-and-pogo party like you’ve never seen before.

You’ve never seen Major Lazer at Groezrock before either, have you? Well, that’s about to change …

Nah, just kidding.

But you have seen The Bouncing Souls at Groezrock before. They’ll continue their epic run in support of that epic new record. And how about The Menzingers and Strike Anywhere! both slapping you around the face with some brand new tunesl? Yeah, you probably love that as much as The Flatliners love coming back to Euroland.

Speaking of comebacks … post-hardcore legends Underoath and Dutch punk rockers UNDECLINABLE AMBUSCADE will both be playing in their original line-up!!!!!!!

Before you start whining about the amount of punk rock, please stick with us … or better yet: Stick To Your Guns. For more hardcore and metalcore entertainment we would like to introduce Australia’s In Hearts Wake and Belgium’s finest MOMENTS. As if either needs an introduction. The Aussies have been around since 2006 and just released the damn good ‘Equinox’ EP. And our first Belgian act is one of the best melodic hardcore bands around.

Last, but certainly not least, we have a very special treat for you: the boundary-pushing Deafheaven will unleash their unique mix of post-rock, shoegaze and black metal upon you. It’s brutally beautiful. Or beautifully brutal.

And on that bombshell … More soon!
